Watching over our Heart

It’s His Turn September 19, 2011 to have control of your Life.

Read: I Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:22

You were created by God in His Image, special and unique. There is no one else like you. Watch over your heart. King David was described as “a man after God’s own heart”.  There are five characteristics of a person after God’s own heart.

  1. Recognize you can’t do it alone. Bible reading and prayer are crucial keys to seeking His heart.
  2. Know that you are going to fall short. This is no excuse to sin, but David fail short, he committed adultery. We must ask forgiveness and keep pressing on.
  3. Remember faith involves knowledge, and God will make all things work together for good for those who love Him.
  4. Keep seeking God’s purpose. It’s been placed in your heart by Him, and it’s bigger than you.
  5. Be faithful, not worry about success, If you are faithful you will end up being both in His eyes.

Reckless abandonment, Go after Him with everything you are. Keep your eyes on Him. He is working through you in your family, in your church, and on your job. Hold your head up, because you are a child of the King
